Weymann "Orchestra" No 2 tenor banjo, Circa 1926
Weymann's "megaphonic" megaphone shaped rim was the basis for its finest banjo line in the 1920's, and they were very popular during the jazz age. This model was next to to the bottom of the Orchestra line, but it is still a beautiful banjo constructed mostly of beautiful curly maple. The geared tuning pegs, embedded into the peghead, are particularly elegant.
