Stahl (made by Larson brothers) Mandolin, Circa 1915
August and Carl Larson of Chicago produced an extraordinary number of high quality mandolins, guitars, harp-guitars, and harp-mandolins between about 1900 and 1940. This is one of their lovely mandolins, made to the same exacting standards as most of their other instruments. Note the inlaid Handel tuning knobs, also used on Gibson mandolins from the same period.
