Weymann Mandolute Circa 1920
Weymann produced mandolins as well as banjos, and the "mandolute" was their attempt to compete with the new generation of carved mandolins introduced by Gibson. It is somewhat larger than the usual mandolin, and this high-end mandolute has beautiful pearl work all over the neck, peghead, and pickguard. The tuning machine covers are also nicely engraved.
