A.C. Fairbanks “Electric” No. 3, 5-string banjo, S/N 15712, Circa 1896
This beautiful banjo is a bit fancier than the other two carved-heel electrics in my collection. In addition to fancier engraved inlays, this banjo also has a nice ebony backstrap and extra laminations under the fingerboard. Note the carved ivory tailpiece and Maltese cross tuners.
