J. H. Buckbee "Columbia" 5-string pony banjo Circa 1895
The "Columbia" brand was one of many used by the Buckbee company in the 1880's and 1890's. This simple pony banjo has an 8" rim and an 18" scale length, making it a lot of fun to play in the car. Note the neat old ebony-on-metal tailpiece.
