"George Washburn" 5-string ladies banjo, model 421 custom, S/N 390, Circa 1892
This is a rare ladies-size example of Lyon & Healy's fanciest model from the early 1890's. This custom version includes carved ivory pegs, gold plated brackets and a gold-plated stretcher band, a nicely carved heel, an engraved rim, and a neat tailpiece with a small engraved train on it.
