A. C. Fairbanks “Fairbanks & Cole” 5-string banjo Circa 1891, S/N 1322
This banjo was made by Fairbanks after he split with Cole, but it interestingly was given the model name "Fairbanks & Cole", apparently to get some last mileage out of the previous partnership. I am not sure if the large block inlay at the fifth fret is original, although it does appear to be very old.
