A.C. Fairbanks (by Vega) "Electric" 5-string banjo, S/N 24549, Circa 1908
When I bought this banjo I thought at first it was a Regent model, but it turned out to be an Electric with a Whyte Laydie #2 neck complete with engraved Griffin and scalloped diamond inlays, a Regent rim, and an Electric tone ring. In weight, this banjo is between a Regent and a Whyte Laydie, and it sounds terrific.
