J.B. Schall (Denzel) “Peerless” 5-string banjo Circa 1895
This extraordinary banjo is marked "Denzel - Peerless", but it appears to have been made by J.B. Schall of Chicago, or at least made using Schall hardware. Note the pearl binding on the fingerboard and peghead and the exquisitely engraved pearl and rim hardware.
