W. A. Cole "Eclipse" 5-string banjeaurine, S/N 2541, Circa 1895
This is an early Cole's Eclipse banjeaurine, made to play the lead in the banjo orchestras that became popular in the 1890's. This has style 2500 ornamentation, with nice engraved inlays and the usual boat heel.
