E. Perry Allen (NY) 5-string banjo Circa 1890's
I recently purchased this banjo on Ebay because I have never heard of this brand. The tag on the banjo says (((The))) E. Perry Allen, New York. It's actually a very nice banjo, with a real ebony fingerboard and peghead overlay, nice pearl, pewter, and ivoroid inlays, and quality hardware. The banjo itself was probably made by Buckbee. Has anyone out there heard of this brand before?
